Me & my website
I studied furniture design and making at Bridgwater College under two renowned furniture makers, Jessica Horder and Steve Hopper, after completing the four year course I qualified to City & Guilds level three gaining two distinctions.
In 2013 after completing their selection process I was accepted as a full craft member to The Somerset Guild of Craftsmen. I won the Guilds first Furniture Award in 2012 awarded by Tony Portus of Cato Design and the Guilds Best of the Best competition in 2013 awarded by Joanna Foster CBE chair of the Crafts Council and President of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild.
From my workshop in the Somerset village of Butleigh I make furniture to commission and some speculative pieces using solid wood and fine veneers, I use traditional and modern cabinet making techniques with an emphasis on hand tool work, everything I make is finished by hand, my aim is to produce work of the highest standard.
All of the work featured on my website is made and designed by me, credit is always given to those who have inspired me.
My News/ Latest Project page shows the more interesting or unusual work I have been doing, this work usually coincides with my everyday work which is not shown, so if there are large gaps between the dates of posting this does not mean I have been sat in front of the fire with my feet up!
